60 Years of Kendricks!!!

Based in sunny Worthing on the beautiful West Sussex coast, we are the longest running family run coffee roasters and tea blenders in Sussex. Thalben Kendrick Loydell (Roy) started roasting coffee in 1964, creating new blends for high street cafes, hotels, restaurants…it was an exciting time, right at the beginning of the coffee revolution. His Son Philip and Grandson Rob now run the business together.

Passionate about coffee, we are committed to purchasing only the highest quality Arabica coffee beans and as members of the Rainforest Alliance, you can be sure that the coffee you drink is helping to provide coffee growers and their families with a better life, whilst taking care of the environment too. We constantly strive to be as ecological, greener and more sustainable in our packaging, transport and equipment and are always looking at how we can improve.

Gone are our days of roasting on a small hand turned roaster! Roasting daily, we use two different types of roaster, our traditional Giesen drum roaster and our Neuhaus Neotec fully automatic batch roaster. Doing this means we offer small batch coffee roasting as well as large batch coffee roasting, ensuring that all of our coffee is delivered just days after roasting.

With the artisan coffee making such an impact on the high street, we provide all of our barista training FREE to our wholesale coffee customers and to NEW Customers when purchasing traditional espresso machine packages and is carried out in our state of the art training room.
